BARNES VILLAGE
GREATER MANCHESTER SK8
This project delivered an estate of 117 two-, three-, and four-bedroom family homes set within 16.5 acres of landscaped grounds, complete with a newly constructed lake. To optimise efficiency, the new-build homes utilised modern methods of construction (MMC), specifically modular lightweight steel framing assembled on-site. At the core of the masterplan was the comprehensive refurbishment of a listed former hospital. Built in 1875 in the Victorian Gothic Revival style, the structure had been completely derelict for three decades and was designated ‘at risk’. Our thorough and sympathetic restoration converted the historic building into 39 unique apartments, seamlessly blending heritage architecture with modern residential design. The completed scheme subsequently achieved multi-award-winning status within the industry.
