The creation of an estate of 117 two-, three- and four-bedroom family homes set in 16.5 acres of landscaped grounds, which includes the construction of a lake. These homes used a modern method of construction: modular lightweight steel framing assembled on site. At the heart of the estate is the redevelopment of a listed former hospital, built in 1875 in the Victorian Gothic Revival style, into 39 unique apartments. The building had been entirely derelict for the past three decades and listed as ‘at risk’ before our thorough and sympathetic refurbishment. The development went on to become multi award-winning
